Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about letterpress wedding invitations, save the dates, and more.
Getting Started
What is letterpress?
Letterpress is a historic method of printing. Plates with raised type and mages are inked and pressed into the surface of the paper, creating a truly special look and feel.
What is a press run?
A press run refers to the setup and printing process for one ink, foil, or emboss on one side of the paper. Each additional ink, foil, or embossing requires an additional hand-fed pass through the press.
Scoring and die-cutting are included in the cost of printing and do not require additional press runs.
What is your turnaround time?
A standard order takes approximately 3–4 weeks from start to finish. This includes:
1–2 weeks for the proofing process
2–3 weeks for production
Orders that include custom designs, illustrations, ribbon, envelope liners, or other specialty add-ons may take longer.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Our minimum order quantity is 25. While we can print smaller quantities, pricing starts at $250.
Do you offer digital printing service?
We are primarily a letterpress print shop, but we do offer digital guest and return address printing on envelopes.
