This fountain pen nib grinding event is the time to get any nibs tuned, fixed, or custom ground to your specifications. Nib repair prices vary. Limit 2 pens per customer per day.

What is a Nibmeister, and who is Kirk Speer?
A Nibmeister is someone who has trained in the art of reforming and improving nibs. Nibmeisters can have individual areas of expertise; for example some may specialize in traditional grinds, or have their own style of nib grinding.
Kirk Speer’s love of fountain pens began at a young age, when he found and restored a Parker 51 from an antique store. He discovered the need for nib restoration from his passion for fountain pens, and turned his skills towards refining this art.
This will be Kirk’s fourth year visiting Oblation, and we hope you take advantage of his knowledge and expertise to create a perfect nib for you!
Sailor Fountain Pen Trunk Show

The US distributor of Sailor & Penlux Pens from Japan will be with us with a wide selection of fountain pens and inks for 2025. All pens will be 20% off MSRP, as they regularly are at Oblation.
Pens may be purchased in store or special-ordered directly from their warehouse.
This is a great opportunity to shop a wide selection of pens outside of our regular inventory, including special edition and hard-to-buy pens. Try out all 7 Sailor nibs in person, and get any questions answered by Sailor!
